The fencing project at Hayes Cattle Company’s farm in Earlington, Kentucky included the construction of approximately seven miles of fence installed at a strip mine (1950s) through tough subsurface conditions including small to large (car size) bedrock fragments.
As part of the fence, the crew installed approximately 5,000 posts for intermediate supports, corner braces, and gate openings from Precision Posts. With very few exceptions, the 5-inch and 6-inch diameter posts held up using a post driver. Thanks goes out to Precision Posts for providing good post at good prices – again, we will be needing two more bundles!! (the never ending project)
